ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
SRI'S COUNSELOR PROGRAM is an innovative training combining contemporary theory and practice in counseling informed by psychiatry, psychology, and neuroscience--with the wisdom and practice of Sowa Rigpa. Students complete a Foundations Year of Sowa Rigpa (as part of a blended cohort of Practitioner and Counselor students) and for Year 2 of the Counselor program, experience the dialectical team teaching of Dr. Nida Chenagtsang and Dr. Caroline Van Damme, along with select guest teachers sharing their expertise for topics of special focus and interest.

In Year 2, students watch some pre-recorded lecture material on their own time and also participate in live online lectures, interactive discussion, breakout sessions of experiential practices, and yogic practices. Over the course of the year they also complete and share with their class an independent research or case study project.
YEAR ONE (FOUNDATIONS OF SOWA RIGPA) SCHEDULE:
Students watch approximately 6 hours of pre-recorded videos per week on their own time and meet once a week with teacher on Zoom for 90 minutes.
Courses are arranged on a trimester schedule with breaks in December/January, April and August.
Live sessions take place on Saturdays at:

TUITION:
Tuition is US$3000 for Year 1 and US$4000 for Year 2 (scholarship program is available by application)
CERTIFICATE:
A certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the program, demonstrating that Sowa Rigpa Institute affirm's the student's competence to practice Sowa Rigpa Counseling in a professional capacity (local jurisdictions may regulate the practice of counseling; Sowa Rigpa is not regulated, licensed or legally recognized in most parts of the world as of this writing).
