Sowa Rigpa Self & Family Care Program

One Year | 100+ Hours Online

Designed for the person who does not wish to practice Sowa Rigpa professionally, but would like to learn the fundamentals of Tibetan healing in order to better take care of oneself, improve quality of life, and learn how to promote health and rejuvenation at home and in one’s family and communities. 

The course follows the main structure of the Root Tantra (tsa gyu), the first of the Four Tantras (gyu zhi), the principle medical texts of Sowa Rigpa, with supplementary information from the (2nd) Explanatory Tantra (shé gyu) and (4th) Final Tantra (chi mé gyu) and special emphasis on safe and practical applications at home.

COURSE FORMAT:

Program meets once a week online. If time zone or other commitments prevent one from attending live, this program can be followed via the video recordings in a self-paced manner. 


EQUIVALENCIES:

This course is equivalent in hours and topics covered to Sowa Rigpa: The Foundations (Part One).

Graduates of this course will receive a certificate of completion from the Sowa Rigpa Institute and will be eligible to switch tracks to one of our professional training programs (Practitioner, Counselor, or Kunye Therapist) if they wish to deepen their studies and train professionally.
