All participants receive one year access to course, including video recordings (view only, not downloadable) and other resources to support you in your study and practice.

About the Course

In this seven day intensive students will learn the fundamentals of Tibetan herbalism and study the taste, potency and actions of 200 single medicinal plants and minerals, including the herbs listed in the Root Tantra, Tibet's principle medical texts, as well additional common culinary herbs.

We will then study  21 simple and safe Sowa Rigpa formulas, learning about their uses in addressing a variety of health imbalances, both mental and physical.

Participants of the in-person retreat at Pure Land Farms will spend the afternoons making the Sowa Rigpa formulations and learning preparations such as pills, medicinal ghees, and infusions, as well as tinctures and capsules. For those who cannot attend in person, text and video resources will be shared.

For this teaching, Dr. Nida Chenagtsang will be joined by Sifu Edward Coughlin–licensed acupuncturist, Chinese Medicine and Sowa Rigpa practitioner, intercultural herbalist, and director of Jade Lotus Acupuncture in Miramar Beach, Florida.

This program is open to all students of Sowa Rigpa, herbalists, or practitioners of other natural medical traditions.
